A Tee is a pipe fitting shaped like the letter "T," with two outlets at 90-degree angles to the main line. It is a short piece of pipe with a side outlet and is used to connect pipes at right angles. Tee fittings are widely used in pipeline networks, especially for transferring two-phase fluid mixtures.
Types of Tee Fittings
1. Straight Tee
In a Straight Tee, the branch diameter is the same as the main pipeline diameter.
2. Reducing Tee
In a Reducing Tee, the branch diameter is smaller than the main pipeline diameter.
3. Barred Tee
A Barred Tee includes bars welded inside to prevent impurities and debris from entering the branch. It is used for applications where contamination must be avoided.
4. Bull Head Tee

5. Wye Tee (Lateral Tee)
In a Wye Tee, the branch is at a 45-degree angle or some other angle other than 90 degrees. This type of Tee minimizes friction and turbulence, thus providing smoother fluid flow.
