A submersible pump, also known as a deep well pump or irrigation pump, is primarily designed to move water or various fluids from deep wells and tanks. The pump consists of two main parts: a motor and several impellers. It is essentially a vertical centrifugal pump used to maintain water pressure at a standard level while preventing air from entering the plumbing system.
Submersible pumps are available in both single-piece or two-piece designs, where the motor is typically installed at the bottom of the pump to be cooled by water. In a single-piece pump, suction occurs from the bottom, while in a two-piece pump, the suction part is located between the motor and the pump.
